EXCURSIONS
Valdés Peninsula Sur (Southern area):
– Full day excursion visiting the Carlos Ameghino Isthmus Interpretation Center. Then we continue to Puerto Pirámides to do the Whale watching tour with Southern Right whales (June to December)

Sightseeing of Valdés Peninsula, discovering our local fauna in the steppe, we arrive in Valdés Creek where we get to observe a small Magellan Penguin Colony located on the coast of the creek. Later, bordering the coast, we arrive at the south of our peninsula where we will enjoy coasts and cliffs with beaches crowded with colonies of marine mammals and birds. In the afternoon, we will arrive in the Salt flats area, where we will see the most important depressions over the area, Salina Chica and Salina Grande, in a natural environment of green and salty marshes. Return to the city.
Valdes North Peninsula
– Full day excursion visiting the Carlos Isthmus Interpretation Center Ameghino. We continue to Puerto Pirámides to do the Whale Watching tour in order to observe Southern Right Whales (June-Dec)

Then we head towards the Punta Norte reserve where we will visit its colonies of sea lions and elephant seals depending on the period of our visit. We continue our trip to Estancia San Lorenzo where we can taste the typical lamb on the spit and then, inside said Estancia, we will walk among penguins and we will sit on their shores watching them pass very close to us. Return to the city.
Valdes Peninsula Full
– A comprehensive program touring each point of our Valdés Peninsula

The proposal begins by entering the Valdés Peninsula Protected Natural Area and overnighting in Puerto Pirámides, capital of the Southern Right Whales and strategic point to carry out various activities, including whale navigation, in an unparalleled natural environment. Very close to Puerto Pirámides, we will enjoy the sea lions colonies in Lobería Punta Pirámides. At sunset free time to explore the coasts and viewpoints along the bay of Puerto Pirámides. The next day, we will tour the southern area of Valdés seeing the salt flats area and reaching the south coast, we will see numerous colonies of lions and sea elephants at the foot of great cliffs. Coasting the Peninsula, We will arrive in Valdés Creek, where we will interpret the life of the sea elephants who form their harems on these coasts. Further north, on the channel of Valdes Creek , there will be more colonies of elephants and sea lions, even a small but no less interesting colony of penguins. Already in Punta Norte, We will see depending on the seasonality, colonies of elephants and sea lions. Emblematic reserve, known worldwide for the presence and intentional stranding action of Orcas that patrols the shoreline to catch sea lions calves. A few kilometers away we will arrive in Estancia San Lorenzo where We will visit the great colonie of Magellan penguins and we will enjoy a very local food, lamb on the spit. Return to Puerto Piramides.
Whales in Doradillo Area
Length : 3 hours
Just 20 minutes from the city of Madryn, heading northeast, we will skirt the Golfo Nuevo in the direction of Playa Las Canteras, where deeper waters makes Southern Right Whales congregates from June to September, especially mothers with newborn calves, being just a few meters from the coast they create a unique spectacle in the world. Sitting on the beach or walking, we will be able to observe them moving freely in an unparalleled natural environment. Period June to September
Full Whales
An ideal proposal for those who wish to fully live the Whales experience. We move to Puerto Pirámides, where we will embark to do the sighting. After lunch, very close from town, we will get an specific viewpoint from where we will watch the whales from the coast in the immensity of the gulf. Return to the city.

El Pedral, Countryside and Penguins

Great option visiting Punta Ninfas, its legendary lighthouse and its high cliffs with the best views over the Golfo Nuevo and the south of the Valdes Peninsula. Within the Estancia, on its shores, we will walk among penguins visiting their nests and caves very closely, watching them go towards the sea on an extensive beach of brown stones called Pedral. Upon return to Farmhouse, we will enjoy a tasty grilled lamb, and then we will make a visit walking through the facilities of the ranch and its Lodge. Return to the city.
Punta Tombo

Full day excursion visiting the continental penguin colony located south from Puerto Madryn. 3 km of trails with a high density and many individuals along its trails, enjoying the experience of walking among penguins and having also the chance of witnessing large numbers of continental animals that roam confidently along the trails. Lunch time and visit of the great Interpretation Center of the ANP Punta Tombo. Return to the city.
Patagonia Dolphins Sightseeing

Our journey begins heading south along National Route 3 towards the banks of the Chubut River, great productive and agricultural valley. We begin our tour with a visit to the paleontological museum and continue towards the mouth of the Chubut River where we will have the possibility of sailing to spot Toninas or Commersoni’s Dolphins. Still in the Chubut River Valley, heading west from the farm area, we visit the old Welsh colony of Gaiman where a City Tour is carried out, after which we will have time to taste the Welsh Tea rite.
San Lorenzo Ranch

Touring the North Valdés Peninsula Tour or the so called Full Valdés we will arrive at Estancia San Lorenzo where we will visit the large colony of Magellan penguins and enjoy an exquisite grilled lamb.
Located in the northern part of the Valdés Peninsula, is the Magellan’s penguin colony of Estancia San Lorenzo, which has shown constant growth since its establishment almost 50 years ago. This growth exceeds the 20% annual average since 1995. It had 93 pairs in 1977 and almost 210,000 pairs in the last census of 2017, distributed over an area of more than 220 hectares. This makes it the largest colony in the world for this species: approximately 600,000 penguins at the peak of the season. The penguins arrive every year during the first days of September and leave the reserve towards the end of April. Have the unforgettable experience of walking with penguins on their own land and sitting on their beaches. San Lorenzo has different circuits within the estancia specially designed to satisfy different types of public and experiences that they wish to experience. This excursion can also be done in private service, dedicating a whole day to experience the penguin’s rookery itself , justifying our travel time since Estancia San Lorenzo is located 180 km from the City of Puerto Madryn. With the aim of enabling even more direct contact with nature and with the commitment to participate in the conservation of natural resources, our Multi Aventura Madryn active tourism operator was created. Through active excursions in Mountain Bike, Kayak and Trekking modalities we will discover a new way of experiencing the interaction with our environment, its marine and terrestrial fauna that are part of the area of Puerto Madryn and Península Valdés. This is how we propose active trips in natural places, with unique attractions that are part of our Valdés Peninsula. We have been uninterruptedly serving as tour guides since the 90s, providing services for travelers coming from all over the world, with vast professional experience and great respect for nature. We intend to actively discover our geographical and fauna virtues by kayaking and pedaling, as well as our main places of interest, always respecting the natural resource, biodiversity and instilling in our clients these values to achieve an unforgettable experience.
EXCURSIONS
Multiaventura
We will pick up the visitors by vehicle from the places where they are staying to go south to the Cerro Avanzado area. Analyzing the different climate variables and prioritizing the safety of our travelers, our guides will decide the type of physical activity to be carried out, which can be: Kayak or Mountain Bike.
In any of the two cases, the proposed routes are of minimum physical demand and do not require prior experience. The briefing that precedes the activity given by our guides, will provide the necessary tools for the participants to enjoy safely.
If the weather conditions are favourable, we will paddle for approximately 1 hour in very stable double kayaks to enjoy the best views of beaches, cliffs and the immensity of Golfo Nuevo.
If the sea condition are not so good to navigate, we will start the mountain bike activity from the hull of Estancia San Guillermo, from there we will make a gradual descent of 9 km to the Punta Loma Sea Lions Colony. This will take approximately 1 hour.
Once the visit to the Colony is over, clients will have the choice of returning for a one-hour trekking through a natural canyon in the steppe in order to get back the Ranch, or clients will have the option of getting back the Ranch by transport. Upon arrival we will enjoy a country lunch with an excellent view of the Golfo Nuevo.
Both in kayaks and on mountain bikes, participants will be able to experience, through low-demand physical activity, the ecosystems of the Patagonian Steppe, the sea and the coast, interpreting the life of Sea Lions, Cormorants, Gulls, Terns and Petrels.

Madryn in Kayak
The aim of this short excursion is to offer the participant the chance of getting to know Puerto Madryn in a different way. Walking along its waterfront and paddling the city’s coastal waters. A comprehensive proposal to discover the most interesting aspects of the place, contributing to the enhancement of the Historical, Cultural and Natural Heritage of our city.
In this way, through a walk in the open air without the use of motor vehicles impacting the environment as little as possible, we will get to know the city on foot and paddling in kayaks, helping to transmit the values of conservation and care for the environment necessary to live in harmony with the environment that surrounds us.

Madryn on Bike
We propose you to visit iconic and attractive places in our city with a low physical demand, we will discover the entire waterfront of the City by bicycle, making stops to take pictures and learn a little about the history, culture and nature of Puerto Madryn. From the commercial center of the city, passing through the Industrial area of the North zone and from there to the south zone where the Tehuelche Monument is located. The exceptional panoramic views plus the stories given by our guides round off a dynamic and fun proposal that contributes to the traveler’s experience while passing through our city.

Bikes & Whales
We suggest you pedal along the Golfo Nuevo with the best views to feel the sea up close, until you reach the ANP El Doradillo, where from June to September numerous Southern Right Whales gather, beginning their breeding cycle. This is one of the first points reached upon arrival and the best beach in the world recently declared for coastal whale watching, taking into account the proximity of these large cetaceans to the coast. We will start the journey in the northern area of the city of Puerto Madryn, behind the fishing park. Always bordering the Nuevo gulf in MTB. Making some stops due to the beauty of the place and the presence of whales, we will cover a total journey of 12 kilometers close to the main route as an escape route and personal and mechanical assistance. Upon arrival at ANP El Doradillo, our logistics team will be waiting for us, ready to assist us, where we will watch the whales.
Return to the city in transportation provided for clients.
